ok, so I did my batch as normal-processed,washed x3,dried,filtered down to 5 and then 1 micron(sock filter) looked great and I was driving my truck and it started to sputter, I changed the filter and it was gummed up with white slime-so today I dropped my fuel tank, put the bio back into one of my 55gal drums and I noticed a white soapy film on the top.Is this because it needs to be washed again or is this fallout and needs to be re-processed? Also what is the methanol/lye amounts for reprocessing? In the past I have had this but caught it while I was doing the final filtering and then rewashed, redried and refiltered again and everything was good to go.

Make sure you filter the BD cold, not warm and not hot. Let it settle for a few days before pumping into your tank. Time is your friend.

thanks for the reply but do you think it needs to be reprocessed or rewashed?

Start with the 3/27 test. If you get a lot of dropout, and you're not running an old Mercedes, then reprocess. I suspect it's mainly just soap, so it would only need to wash again. You can also do the soap test to check your soap content.
