just wanted to update everyone on this. I made about 2500 gallons of the good and clear gasoil. It burns quite hot in the diesel. Equivalent to ulsd with powerservice with cetain boost. The diesel loves it. More power and we ran it in the 7.3 for about 5000 miles and we changed the oil. The oil tests showed less fuel related contaminates. So we are very happy with it. We have changed the system much and will be remote monitoring after the catastrophic failure we had a couple months ago when the container blew up. Now we energize the system with compressed nitrogen. That is a cheap fail safe method for getting it going. We use passive heating elements. 10kw of power. We burned 4.6 gallons of used vegetable oil in the generator to produce 48 gallons of gasoil. I'm very happy with that. We still have about 10,000 gallons of used cooking oil to convert. But lately we havn't had the time. So we blend 45 gallons of used cooking oil unfiltered with 5 gallons of 88 octane (gasoline) mix with a sealed induction mixer then filter through two non water blocking 1 micron filters. This method seems to work the best for us. Runs in all our vehicles including our 6.4 (with modifications) and our 7.3's only modification is we use a heat exchanger in case we have to go through the 20 degree air in the mountains. Other than that we get better fuel mileage in all our diesels with this blend. The engines run quieter. Long term use in the 6.4 without modifications can't be accomplished. post injection puts a little vegetable oil in the crank case and causes polymerization which in turn cokes the rings. 7.3 powerstrokes don't have post injections and after pulling the heads after more than 80,000 miles on vegetable oil carbon build up is average. No excessive damage. After pulling the heads after gasoil we saw less than average build up. So we are happy to see that gasoil could be a cleaner burning alternative to diesel. Our next move is to build a easy to open explosion proof chamber to put plastics in to pyrolize. Here in alaska recycling has stopped and so we are seeing huge heaps of bailed plastics and papers. Tons of oil not being recycled and paint. I just got my permits for my passive hydro generator and put it into play so we are getting a steady 1000kwh a month. However I'm planning on beefing it up to 10,000 kwh a month and using all extra power to convert water to hydrogen. We will be switching over to using bottled compressed hydrogen as boosts on diesels and primary fuel on gas vehicles.

Thank you for posting the update. It takes a certain amount of integrity to post your failures along with your successes.

We are hopeful that nobody was injured in the catastrophic failure. Likewise, we hope, not too much destruction of property.

Everyone is reminded that any kind of distillation, either the refining kind where we recover methanol from biodiesel byproduct, or the destructive distillation to produce gasoil, must be undertaken with many redundant safety measures. Not the least of which is to do it outside, away from anything that wouldn't like a nice explosion and potential fire on top of it.

Finest regards,

please carry on.
