Hello,
I have sucsessfully completed two 40 gallon batches

I am having trouble with my next test batch. The first test was with Sodium Hydroxide, the second with KOH.
Results as follows with 1 liter test:

First test Sodium:
Titrated at 9 then added 5
total sodium 14 grams
total methanol 220 ml

Second test KOH:
Titrated at 12 then added 7
Total KOH 19 plus 1 for purity
Total methanol 220 ml

With both tests the reaction was the same.
The glyserin and meth seperated to the bottom but, the fuel left on top is a clear black. Can anyone tell me what is wrong? Bad WVO? Thanks for any help. Paul
at the top was a clear black.

The darker your oil is when you start, the darker your bio will be. My oil titrates at 9-10 NAOH on a regular basis, and my bio is also dark, but not black, dark brown
