Soooo-- I bought a .01 gram scale and carefully measured for a .1% NaOh solution etc. following Tilly's (Pat Pend> chopstick method.

And--- only took a couple of drops to start turning the Isopropyl color and then twelve drops (which in my case is .57 ml) to go to purple.

Bottom line is my wvo titrate (twice!) to less than one gram/liter. Would call for 5.57gm/l so I will use six I guess.

I get it from my neighboring Fish/Chips shop and they say they are picky about their oil (Soy) but is this likely ????

ReM, a lot of my oil from a private school titrated less than 1.

Try it and see.

At least in one liter batches although after washing it's still cloudy after two days.

I guess I was just questioning my titration after reading so many post with numbers of 3 gm/l and more.

ReM, I only had one oil supplier who's oil titrated as high as 3

If you washed the biodiesel and then put the top back on the bottle it will take a long time to dry.
A wide mouthed jar with the top off sitting in the sun is a good way to dry biodiesel. Put a screen over it to keep out foreign objects.
