Thanks for the suggestions----
These bungs are used often so unfortunately sealing with silicon (BD attacks silicon too I think-- maybe you meant urethane?) won't work too well-- Cardboard ??? Hadn't considered that but won't it fall apart rather quickly when continuously wet with BD ? If you use a solid cardboard it should hold up fairly well but I have no first hand experience with bung gaskets, they are also very quick to make if your handy with scissors or a sharp knife...
A quality paper gasket will hold up well I am sure. You can buy the material in small quantity's at any auto parts supply house, tractor supply etc... Good luck, Jon |

Perhaps you could cut them out of a HDPE container such as a washer fluid jug. They are fully compatible with BD. The question is whether it would seal or not.

Check out www.fishersci.com. They sell all kinds of o-rings and science laboratory related items. You'll have to do a little work to figure out the size. Silicones are wonderful, but would be adversely affected by biodiesel, so they're probably not the best thing to use in your intended application.
