Never mind - I figured it out. Liters x 7 grams + 1 gram for each titration. Also, you should divide the total grams by your KOH purity level. So, 100 liters of oil that titrates at 3 would be the following, (assuming a 90% purity of KOH):
100 x ((7+3)/.9) = 1,111 grams of KOH Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that's it. |

close but don't purity adjust the titrataion..its self adjusting.

EXCELLENT point! So, the 90% purity is already factored into my titration of 3, but it's NOT included in my base titration of 7. So, same scenario, my formula would be as follows:
100 liters of oil x ((7/.9)+3) = 1,078 grams. That, I believe is the correct formula. Feel free to disagree. |
