Just picked up a flat-plate-heat-exchanger for a 300D. Where's the best place to tie in to the hot water system??

I have a heated fuel system for B100 use. If you look carefully at the photo 3rd from the bottom you will see 2 red handles. These are for ball valves. I've spliced into the collant system at these two points. One is along the hose right after the metal tube, where it connects to rubber and the other is on the return.

The reason for ball valves is to be able to turn off the heat for warmer months and still keep the hot tank as a reserve for greater distance. My cars are 240D's, so basically the same engine set up.

Thanks very much for the pictures.

Please sir -- you need to reroute your fuel lines out of the passenger cabin for safety. If an accident locks you in the car with your current setup, it's a very real possibility that you could burn to death.
