If anyone is interested, will be pulling the engine and tranny out of my 84 300D over the next couple of weeks to be used as a conversion. The rest of the car is basically sound but is starting to suffer from cancer. Other then getting a body shop to fix the body, I have decided to dispose of the rest of the car. If any of you needs some bits and pieces let me know and we can work out price. From what I can tell (haven't really gone over the car carefully) the following bits are salvageable:

Entire rear subframe, diff and axles (springs are not broken but are sagging)
Interior is in great shape except for the dash pad (and like any of you have one that is not cracked Confused)
Seats are the blue leather ones and are in excellent condition, as are the carpets and headliner.
Gauges all work and seem to be intact.
Radio still works but keeps blowing fuses
Interior fake wood trim intact (may need some mounting tabs)
Euro headlight pots are usable but the lenses are cracked
Rear tail lights are in good condition
Car has all new calipers and pads and both rear discs are new.
New front shocks (KYB) and springs
7 MB alloy wheels, all with usable tires (about 50%)(two Michelin artic ice snows)
Most of the ancillary stuff.
Some body panels, hood and trunk lid. Doors are salvageable but not perfect.
All body glass is good but window frames are rusting apart (power window motors all work as do the switches).

May want to keep the sun roof for another project but could be convinced (read throw money) to part with it.

All I reeally need from the car is the engine and tranny, plus any of the ancillary stuff associated with the power train (glowplug controller, vacuum resevoir, heater pump, drive shaft(s), exhast parts etc.) If some industrious soul wishes to buy it intact, the body would require very little to resurrect it. Just not willing to invest any more resources into this particular car. Otherwise I will spend the time to disassemble it and part it out.

If interested, please PM me. All prices will be very reasonable and I am flexible, though time to remove will be factored in. Only doing this as the bits for these cars are getting hard to locate and figure someone out there may need something. If you are local, your more then welcome to come and remove the parts yourself to save some bucks. May even help and supply tools...you bring the beer.
