stroh,

The tutorial calculator does not compensate for the purity of KOH. You have to do that manually.

What happened to the Biodiesel-o-matic spreadsheet that was located under the Titration section?

Thanks.

I've re-written a web-based calculator that takes purity and type of lye in consideration. Check it out:Biodiesel Web Calculator

BiodieselVideoGuy,
Your calculator is correct. I realized after getting different results from the spreadsheet vs. web calculator that the spreadsheet is dividing by purity even for the amount already calculated at that purity with the titration procedure. I made several soapy batches before correcting.

Will this calculator work if I have these materials available to me for use: gallons of methonal, 55 gallons of phosforic acid at 50% solution (but already in water) and WVO? Here's to tryin, hope my materials arn't worthless in trying to make something work. Thanks for your help.
