-Has anyone tried to do AE on PHO or HO with any sucess? Is there any way to reverse this hydroginating process that causes the oil to be semi solid at room temp? Tom

last winter 1/5/09-1/9/09 i had to use PHO soy that titrated at 12-16 it was always tan colored creamy texture before reacting and liquid after but winter temps here only occasionally reached 0 C.
I had to use AE at 60-65C and multiplier of 0.18to 0.2 and also required base/base 80/20, this was before i did quantitative soap tests and relied on shakem it failed so many times i had to water wash it to ensure its quality was good it worked ok but a bit more work good luck andy
yes to the processing of PHO oils..its does work but it take more time to make sure its dry..
for lowering the solid temps..I don't think so..the only thing I remember reading was the glycerin pretreat on PHO oils to help lower the gel point..an AE killer for sure..
