I know it sounds crazy, but what about dehydrated potato flakes from instant mashed potatos?

I take it they don't absorb alcohol? That would be hilarious- as long as you're using ethanol, you use the potato flake column, and when it's saturated, you've got mashed potatoes to go with the deep-fried turkey that every non-vegetarian biodieseler is required to love.
