I've been looking on the internet for what seems likes days now trying to figure these systems out. I got a pretty good understanding of how everything works and feel very confident that I can pull this off with no problems. The only thing I don't know is weather or not I should use this hot water tank idea (appleseed) or buy one of this expensive systems that seem way over priced. My concern on the appleseed process is not being able to see the diesel and not being able to wash the diesel.. What do I do?? I want to make a logical purchase I'm mechanically inclined and would have no problem putting stuff together. I have a business that operates machinery 2 dump trucks and 1 skid steer

Build it yourself. GL has a brutally simple, effective system.

I don't know why people want to watch the reaction. Once you have seen it, it looks like all the rest. The concept of using poly tubing in an extreemly hot enviroment is just not wise. I tend to fall on the safer side of things. My processor is all steel pipe, no sight tubes, no place for plastic to fail.

GL's processor is a nice setup and can be easily scaled up in size.

It's nice to see the level if you are making different size batchs. The poly tank is okay, but steel pipe is much better than poly tubing. Look for one that does not use any poly tubing (other than to suck oil into the system).

If you are mechnically inclined, you could easily build and applesead or cone-bottom. Murphy has some great plans using steel tanks and drums, if you can weld.

If you get stuck while building, most out here are very helpful. Just ask away. It's rewarding and less costly building your own system. Much faster buying a turn-key system though.
