I've been produceing Bio for a year now (2000 Gal.) and running it in my 2000 7.3, I need to buy my wife a decent daily driver? What is the best diesel in the 2004 and up to buy, I would like to stay around the $12,000 range

One suggestion is the 5 speed jetta tdi wagon. The wagon was made in Germany, unlike the sedan, golf etc. O3 is a good choice too, since that year had the older fuel delivery so seems more tolerant of variations in fuel. 04-06? has the PD which give better power, but is considered to be less forgiving with variations in fuel quality. I had an 03 wagon with auto which was OK, but mileage and pep are not as good as the 5 speed. Exactly 0 fuel related issues in 5 years of b100 between me and the previous owner.
HTH.

Thanks for the info. I haven't found but 1 wagon with 150,000 miles, There is a lot more selection with the sedan. What is the difference in the German made wagon and the sedan, I think the 2003 year would be best. Thanks again Steve
