I've noticed that people on forums frequentley report a slight reduction in mileage and power when switching to B100. I read on a commercial producer's site that biodiesel made from soybean oil produces about 8% less energy than the equivilent volume of petrodiesel. This would explain the observation mentioned above. Has anyone tried adding cetane booster (like Power Service Cetane Booster) to B100 to determine if there is anynoticable improvment in mileage and power?

Just curious how you arrived at that conclusion? Did you measure no fuel mileage difference? Did it fail to make a change in a lubricity test?
