I did not seem to find the info on the tdi club website. I have a 2000 beetle running b-100 and a friend with a 06 jetta tdi asked if he could run bd in his. His engine set up looks alot different then mine, and looked like common rail, but I don't know? What engine and fuel setup does he have and what, from you're experence, bd blends from 5 to 100 can he run?

The 2004 to 2008 has a different fuel system called Pumpe-Duese. Their aren't any known deficiencies running b100 with PD engines. A couple people reported seal failures in the high pressure lift pump. Also the fuel tank in-tank pump is a high failure rate item. Unrelated to bd usage, but one mechanic reported several failed pumps in Hawaii.
Here's one six posts below yours:

[You're going to have to spend 20 -30 hours online researching this PD stuff.]

However the PD does haw two other faults that are much more likely to create expensive repair bills. tdiclub will have LOTS of info on the cam follower wear problem and the balance shaft wear problem.

Don't post you want to run bd at tdiclub.com.
Too many a__holes there.
