Anyone on here have any experiences good or bad with fuel pre-filters? Micron sizes, manufacturers, home made units, suggestions for a b100 user/home brewer?

How about ANY info regarding diesel performance upgrades from mild to extreme and the use of BD? How about the addition and use of pre-OEM fuel filters with lift pumps? (I drive an '05 Duramax LLY, but that really only applies to the second of the last 2 questions.

Thanks,
Chad

I like big cheap filters- Detroit/GM canister type are the most media for the buck I know of- the elements are made by at least six different makers and some are tooo fine.
Centrifugal seems the best way to go- search for 'spinner' or centrifugal- there is a Huge thread on the SVO forum.
My belief is that the heavier fuels are more suited to slower speed diesels, though adding hydrogen could speed combustion- ??? Maybe try propane/bacon fat.
Happy tinkering!
