Hello! I am new to this forum and not yet using WVO. I am thinking about purchasing a Diesel vehicle to start using the WVO. I was hoping to find some people around the Manchester NH area that have done this and have some input for me. Any info will be helpful I do know a little about it but ASSUME I KNOW nothing and fire away!!

Thanks!

Hey NHWVO - I'm looking to start a wvo/svo/bio-diesel co-op and wondered if you had any interest? I'd be looking for folks to help collect, store and manage the whole wvo process. Anyone with restaurant connections, a van, pick-up or trailer, drums, knowledge of pumps etc, and a co-operative spirit would be great.

Hey Dave2007,

I would definately be interested in helping you get this started. My knowledge of this is low but I am learning alot from reading on the web. Have you already started the process if so I would like to talk with you to get a better idea of what you would like me to start with.

Thanks for your response

Cool, other people in NH getting into this! I work in Manchester, have restaurant connections, have been making BD for 3 years and have been looking for others around to possibly work with!
More then willing to share what I know. It would have saved me alot of time & money at the start working with someone!

So Batch, did you build a BD processor? That's pretty cool; in the winter do you run something like B50, depending on the temp?

Would like to discuss more. Maybe you me and NHwvo could meet up. Just a thought.

David2007,

Yes I built a appleseed style processor. The first 2 years I ran with a 40 gal processor. It was eating up to much of my time on the weekends so I found an 82 gal. heater this winter & upgraded. I also purchased a 85 gal. cone tank. Now I can do (2)40-50 gal batch's in one day or weekend.

I don't run any BD durring the winter. I don't have a heated area to brew or keep my oil. I'll run it into Nov. blending it with Kero or diesel depending on the weather forcast.

We could meet up. I know one of you is from Bedford, don't know about the other. I own The Wild Rover Pub in Manchester so I have the beer & food! (or rootbeer)

I'll PM my info.

We should make some plans to meet up. I have been to the Rover many times. That is a great place! I'll return your PM batch sorry I was gone all weekend. Let's work on finding a way to run it all winter.

Batch, I have a little welding experience, not much though. I'm looking to buy a Greasecar kit in the next few weeks and install it in my 300D. I rent and don't have a lot of storage area for oil drums etc.

Sounds like the Rover would be a good place to gather.

I'm the one in Bedford, btw.

Tired of Big Oil.

You have the car for it! Have you sourced any oil for it yet?

I'm getting ready to go around to some of the local restaurants and see about using their oil, maybe even in exchange for a little advertising ( a magnetic sign or something). I have to then work on a place to store it and a method of collection.

The MB is one of the better cars for conversion, from what I've heard, due to its lack of electronics and non-direct injection.

Hey there!
I'm intrested in this subject, and lookin' to learn more. I'm looking at buying a diesel truck and useing this for a fuel source.

I have a background with heating and filtering liquids of multiable viscosities, and setting up systems to do so. I also am connected with many fabrication sources and have an A.S. in Machine Tool Tech.

I would like to chat sometime and I'm eager to learn. How can I hook up with you guys about this?

Colin
