Is there anyone in Texas using SVO on this site? If not, where is the closest one?

I'm interested in the conversion and this site has a lot of useful information and everyone seems very helpful. Thanks for your replys.

Aggie03,
In Texas that must make you about as popular as a pork chop in a Synagogue.

I also am interested in running my truck on svo. I ordered a book from Australia yesterday which was the first I heard of it. Do restaurants contract with individuals to come pick this stuff up? Who pays? The guy with the oil or the person taking it? Hey New Braunfels, is your beer any good?

I have a F250, so we are in the same boat. I'm just looking into the initial cost of the conversion the way I want to do it to see if it is fesable at this point.
Good luck with the F350 and the 300.
I may want to try some of that ale the next time I'm out that way.

Hi guys,
I am in Austin and running an waste veggie oil mix in my dodge cummins. I am doing fine with it so far but need to add a heated tank system before the onset of cold weather. Anyone be willing to meet with me who has already accomplished this? Thanks.

Hi Greg,

I'm just going to heat the fuel in the fuel lines, not the tank and run a B100 blend of some sort.

For grins, you might want to show up Tuesday evening, November 2nd for the monthly meeting at Austin BioFuels (www.austinbiofuels.com). Lots of grease heads there.

Vote first.

runonbeer, I must congratulate you on your choice of beers, I would'nt say the brits are the best brewers in the world (yes we are, Ale anyway) but we must rank towards the top if not for quality then variety.

If you visit england any time and want a decent pint of Ale go North of the country, "not Scotland"

The only decent drink I've have in the london area is Directors bitter.

If you need any help consuming your Ales etc etc etc

I'm here in Houston and I would love to get together with SVO or WVO users. If there aren't any here in town, I don't mind going up to Austin. I REALLY want to convert, but haven't made up my mind yet.

Hey Guys,

I just started the Austin Biodiesel Club and we're having our second meeting at 7PM next Wednesday, the 14th. It'll be at Gingerman at 4th and Guadalupe(one block east). Come join in and bring your Diesel vehicles! It should be a great time.

I'm in Austin and just joined the forum...did not realize there was a meet last week!

I drive a 2004 Jetta TDI and running biofuel since day one. I am in the process of purchasing a 300 gallon tank from Austin Biofuels, and am excited about both homebrewing and SVO conversion.

I'm very interested in meeting up and collaborating on projects, any time there's a meeting please drop me a line at jasonb@austin.rr.com.

I am from the Bay City area (that's SW of Houston) I also have a home in Lakeway (The Austin area). I have a 1983 Mercedes 300 SD that I would like to convert to run on Waste Veggie oil. Please!!! Someone tell me how to convert my car!!! Do I buy a kit? I would rather DIY. If you have successfully converted your car to WVO, I want to hear from you!
You can email me at arielenterprises@peoplepc.com

Thank you for the help!
