I recently attended a workshop on small scale ethanol production. Rather than using molecular seives to strip the last remaining water from the alcohol, some are running it through 20 grit corn. Sounds like they are using a slow speed column approach just like our wood shavings and other dry wash methods.
It strips out the water and can then be dried out by blowing hot air through the vessel.
Has anyone tried ground corn to dry biodiesel?
