I have an opportunity to pick up a large quantity of Purolite PFA-300 and possibly also PFC-100 pretty cheap, probably $100 plus a day's drive. Does anyone know if these resins would have any application in biodiesel at all? One is a Cl- strong base, and the other is a strong acid.
Here is the brochure on the PFA-300:
Having spoken several times with Daryl Schaffer, Purolite's chief techie (and happy recipient of my soap), it seems that the only resin produced by them specifically designed for biodiesel is the PD206 resin. If you need/want his contact info PM me K? Hr would be in a particularly well placed position to answer your questions.
