Have not started a drywash yet will be incorporating it into my new 250 gallon reactor I would like those using a hardwood drywash setup to post there design and explane why like is it a 55 gallon drum with a screen at bottom gravity fed ,a traditional tower design if so dia. to height ratio,metered or gravity fed and what rate and so on please feel free to expound on your ideas. looking forward thanks guys Marvin

I use a tub filled about 1/4 full of shavings, mix the BD into the shavings and give it a stir several times a day. I might let it sit for a couple of days prior to circulating it through more wood shavings attempting to drive off any methanol in solution. Once the soap has reduced to almost none, I send it through my resin columns and then final filter through 1 micron sock filter into 5 gallon containers. Some are using gravity feed and 55 gallon drums. Read the following threads and you should be able to come up with something.

I don'k think anyone has come up with the best way yet. I guess what works for you is the best way. Big Grin
