I have been thinking of an easy and readily available filter media that is also cheap and decided to try a large jar sample poured through a coffee filter of cedarific cat litter, the results were very promising. This sample still had the water in it and was murky before and after it looked very clear, has anyone tried this before?

I bought a bag of "Worlds Best Cat Litter" made from corn last year. I never got around to doing any before or after soap tests, but I hope to get around to it this year.
I'm new to the forum, and looking into drywashing. I read about cat litter and it is made out of Bentonite. As far as I read it would be a good drywash system with Clacium Bentonite.
There is more details about the bentonite on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bentonite
Need to do some test.
