I'm working with oil from local fish and chip places. They all use the hydrogenated WVO. It's liquid at reaction temps, but gets thick and cloudy at lower room temperatures.

I'm having problems with a very fine sediment (I'm assuming soap?) in my finished bio. It doesn't seem to wash out. Is this related to hydrogenated oil or do I have another issue? I've heard using hydrogenated oil isn't a problem, but . . .

Your thoughts are much appreciated!

I have never, never had any luck with Hydrogenated oil except as a dust control agent on my dirt road. We did get good oil after it settled for 5 months. We make bio, and as soon as we added the meth and lye it turned to crap, never to return. I say find another source.
