I currently make all my Bio with KOH (NO water prewash) and seperate the Glycerol to a seperate still for recovery... This works well with KOH but I have never tryed this with NaOH, I would expect that it would work fine as long as I drain all the glycerol as soon as I complete the recovery...
Does anyone have any advice/experience in doing this?

Works fine, just be sure to drain the glycerin while it is hot. It does tend to set up rather quickly.
