I can't find steel storage drums. Can methanol be stored in a poly barrel without melting it?

It won't melt it.

Methanol prices are climbing really fast. I buy by the gallon at 5 to 10 gallons at a time. I got a good price on 55 gal drum, but the only place to keep it is in the garage. Central florida weather, reaching over 100 F in the summer. Is it safe keeping the drum in the garage? or the temp. is way too high?

I just need a container to store it outside in my shed. I've got a line on methanol @ 2.25/gallon. I need to stock up at that price!
