Hey all,

Sorry for another vacuum pump question but I read through most of the older posts and could not figure out if this pump had sufficient cfm’s or would even be suited for my purposes. I have a 120 gallon processor and I process 90 gallon batches. The pump will be used for dewatering and meth recovery. For meth recovery I will have a condenser between the pump and recovery vessel and the pump will draw a vacuum on the recovery vessel through my reflux column from my methanol still. Any advice on this type of pump. Thanks for any help.

make sure you have some type of filter to keep the oil vapors out of the pump.
otherwise it should work fine. the oil vapors with coat the carbon vanes causing them to stick..then it won't create a vacuum.
