Hello.

Im planning on building a New processor For 1000 liters.
Im switching from poly to stainless steel.

I want to make the processor Suitable for (WBD) recovering methanol right after reaction finishes.
Processor is gonna be 1500 liters.
1.70m height (50cms are conical bottom and 1.2m for the cylinder)
1.20m width.

What do you recommend me for the methanol recovery?

Reflux column? What diameter, height, etc?
Pot? With a good coil condenser.

Any advice Will be truly appreciated.

Thanks.

Yuka!

If you look around for the thread on my biodiesel processor build you will see what I did.
It works great except I would use as big a condenser tube as you can afford, I used a 3/8" tube and it takes forever to recover all the methanol from a 1400L batch, like 18 hours of forever...
Cheers,
Jon
