one heck of a lot less than all the time and energy and cost it takes every one to hunt an pick for parts. Fancy dosent meen it works any better. It only took me about 3 hrs to build mine and that was a trip to the hardware too.

1.5KWH x .1(cost per KHW) = $0.15
0.15 x 45hrs = 6.75

Trc

Way too much liability involved in something like that, some air head would undoubtedly crater his whole neighborhood and I'd be working for his family for the rest of my life.

Trc59 your electric is a lot more than what we pay here. our's is 7 1/2 cents per KHW
that = $3.375 and thanx for figuring that out for me.

What do you guys mean by using a PID to control the head temps? Are you talking about using the PID sensor on the exit tube to read the exact temps leaving the still and the PID controlling the heating element at the bottom of the still?

Yep, the thermocouple should be at the highest point in your reflux column.

fabricator how many gallons of glis do you distill, how long does it take, how much meth do you get back, how much time do you have in that unit, and what did it cost to build

35 gallons, 12 hours, 6-8 gallons, 8-10 hours, 200 bux.

Out of 35 gallons of glyc. you only get 6-8 gallons back??? I thought people were recovering almost 80-100% back??
