Can ASTM specs be met merely by just bubbling out methanol of finished Biodiesel. If that's the case why bother Heating the biodiesel and/or vacuum. Recovery can be achieved either way? Time verses money?
Funny seeing you here. You can bubble out the methanol, but it takes a very long time. I did it once on 2K gallons of fuel and it took almost 2 weeks without heat. Needless to say that was not a commercially viable process.
Also, the high volume of air makes recovering that methanol more difficult.
