OK, What temp should I look for my b100 to start gelling? Is it dependent on my source oils? My duramax has a power cord for cold nights - is this enough to prevent problems?
Is the answer to go to b50 during the winter? I am getting started in the spring but it gets cold where I live and I am a skier so I go where it's colder.

I'm kinda new here but I read a post where someone (I think Legal Eagle) said to test the gel point of your bio, put it in the freezer and every 20 min. test it with a thermometer until it starts to gel then you will know the temp at which it will gel. hope that helps.

Yup, and it also depends a great deal on what your feedstock oil is.
The most guarenteed method to be able to run B100 no mater how cold it gets and regardless of feedstock is discussed here.
