Hi Mark,

I'd be interested in either the CA or MI class.

I think most of the references to the GL process were wishful suggestions as your initial post was pretty clear. I've been playing with the process recently and have had some success. My setup does not allow for significant quantities of water to be used so it is helpful to me.

Topics of most interest to me would include:

Acid /base process.

Water in oil - what are the limits of tolerability and are these also affected by FFA content.

Soap tests.

Glycerin acidulation, inculding uses for FFA recovered from same.

Methanol recovery.

Girl Mark, if you get your biodiesel roadshow over the pond I'm sure many of us over here would love to attend.
By the way, you should try GL's one day process - Ive had very good results with it (after some initial problems due to inexperience, I confess). (However, I'm hoping move on to magnesol soon).

You bet GM, if you have plans to come to Seattle to teach that seminar, you can put me down as one of the attendees.

I always enjoy having the opportunity to learn more to improve my process. Plus it will give me a chance to show off SCORBA.

HI,

My Febuary seminar is in Berkeley, near San Pablo Ave and Ashby St. Depending on your budget, look at hotels in Emeryville (several standard mall-type hotel chains, not cheap though), it's almost walking distance (about 1 mile).

Specnaz,

I'm not doing the advanced seminar anywhere othr than berkeley, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, at least in the next 7 months. I suspect it's not going to draw very many participants so Im not going to schedule them at the same rate as I schedule the regular beginner classes, sorry.

Drag, never been to Bezerkly though. Perhaps I can use it as an opportunity to check the place out.

I applied for a job at Livermore Labs there along time ago.

Specnaz, come down and we'll put you up for a few days- we have a guest room (office-with-futon). It'd be great to have you visit me and Tom and talk geek all weekend.

If Mississippi falls through I would love to do one here in Fayetteville Tennessee or in Birmingham Alabama.

I'm sure I can arrange the meeting space, a projector for your laptop, and anything else needed to make it work.

Personally I would like to see the advanced topics, but I'm sure we could fill the roster on a basics course.

Maybe by then we could throw in a GL1 and Amberlite (or Magnesol if R&H drags their feet) section.

We can do a basics class in both Mississippi and Tennessee (or ALabama). That would be in May, perhaps?

May is good for me. Somewhere you posted what you needed for support from the host/coordinator. Could you either repost that or point me in the right direction so that I can start lining it up?

Thanks,

Jim

Are you still having your class in Brekeley in Feb.
If you are still having the class--I am going to book a flight and hotel.
Just want to make sure it is still on before I spend the money.
Thanks
