After doing an acid esterification to bring my titration down to 3,from 10 ,thanks to D KENNYS helpful advice, after a couple of mistwashings,my BD looks like coffe with creamer in it.The water is draining out fairly clear at this point, but is still a little cloudy.I know that it needs a few more washings, but i dont know what this murky brown color is from.

you're welcome

keep washing...its normal..

the BD will turn more clear when its done.

mist is a slow way to wash. effective but slow
bubble with hot water..better and faster.

My experience is that you have water suspended in the BD. If you dry bubble the BD, the water will fall out and the fuel will clear.

good work sawboy.
the only that would help with the drying time is to wash it one more time. but now that's dry. why bother.

welcome to acid/base brewing world.

Hi Sawboy, I'm the one paddling up. I can crack any gunk and make good BD, I can wash quickly with little water and all sorts of good deeds but I never quite got a handle on drying the stuff. All my last posts are about water in the fuel, corrosion etc... Can you mob develop a bit more the drying processes? Thanks

Pump up the heat, spray your wet, and hot Bio against the side of your tank, to give a swirling motion, blow air over the top, 300 Litres will dry in a couple of hours. I love this second last part of Bio brewing. Turn on the pump and heaters. Walk away. Come back in a couple of hours, the timing is not critical, and the best part 'is filling your vehicles'. Jim.
