I doubt you'll see any decrease in prices.

While jumbo-jets aren't particularly fuel efficient, the people traveling within the European continent will be finding other modes to travel, for example driving personal vehicles or perhaps riding the trains.

Some of those flying internationally have routed to other airports such as Italian airports that were open for the most part, sometimes actually increasing the flying time (and thus fuel consumption).

Others have just postponed the flights... so flights that would normally be running at say 75% capacity will now be flying at 100% capacity as the airports reopen.

Anyway, my observations is that natural disasters tend to increase the prices of commodities & fuel rather than decreasing the price of them....

What was that little storm that blew through Louisiana 5 years ago, and fuel prices haven't yet recovered... and probably never will recover to pre-storm prices.
