Dinesh Isopropyl Alcohol, we use to titrate our waste Oil which will tell us how much Methanol and catilyst we need to add to the de watered, filtered and heated to 130f (50c)Oil. Unless you are absolutley sure about what you are doing do not try to mix these very dangerous chemicals.

We use both..
The isopropyl alcohol is used to dissolve the oil during the titrating (testing) process. That's all it is used for. The Methanol is used for the reaction. You mix methanol and lye to form Methoxide and then mix that up with your veg oil. www.MurphysMachines.Com The best Do-it-Yourself Construction Plans on the Internet!
