Not bad, but I'm thinking 35mpg could be reached without the hybrid option. Maybe that was highway mileage and the hybrid portion would keep the milage high in city driving..

Yeah, there's a bunch of these Challenge X entries all over the country. GM gives them the Equinox and most of the teams are dropping Diesels under the hood. One would hope that GM would get the hint.

Having no interest in new vehicles I have no Idea what the Equinox is. How big is it would it be like the Tahoe or more like the s-10 Blazer? I know this is a stupid question as I have probably seen a dozen of them and didn't know what they were because I don't notice newer vehicles, I don't like them

It appears to be about as big as a Dodge Caravan, so yes, along the lines of an S10 Blazer...See this image:

Just purchased 2/1/08, 1985 F-250 2wd 6.9 IDI C6 Auto 186k $400 at auction. Was running my B100 in my fathers 1995 F250 PowerStroke, with >215,000 miles, on truck. So far, only about 500 on bio, but no problems yet.

Years ago I had a full size 82 Blazer K5, 6.2 with an automatic overdrive. I got 28mpg with that old shoe box. Is 35 that good out of a hybrid?
