I have read that this generation has a poor stock fuel delivery system. While the truck does have an aftermarket FAAS system to remedy that, I did have one doubt in mind.

If the bio clogs the filter, this would lead to no fuel going to the IP right? This in turn would ruin it correct?

At the point of filter clogging, I guess it doesn't matter what fuel pressure you have or what aftermarket system you have, even an expensive one, no fuel = ruined IP.

Anyone have thoughts?

sounds about right..just keep in mind the plugging usually isn't digital. ie plugged or not..there is lots of gray area between.

make sure you have a fuel pressure gauge on the output of the filter and carry a spare.

but is this biodiesel fault? what happens if a bad batch of diesel plugs the filter..I changed the filter in my truck right after I got it home last summer..it was black from the crud in diesel fuel.
