Can anyone tell me about experience with running only B100 in a modern Common Rail Diesel engine (CDI, TDI, Cummins) etc. There are numerous stories out there that this should not be done. I've heard reasons such as the ultra high pressure fuel delivery systems & tight tolerance precision components do not like the higher viscosity BD. Also there may be issues with Urea injection (Blutech) systems etc. Any experience or comments?
Thanks. PD

Dodge does not have UReaq injection(yet) The 6.7 is a normal fuel eating DPF system like the rest of them. CR's are less tollerant of Biodiesel cause of the way there fuel delevery systems work. I have a 2005CR engine that we run it off of. No real issues with it, but they are picky with the fuel you feed it. If you have a poor batch of fuel the engine will surely let you know opposed to a proper made batch. My other truck is a F250 with a 6.0L and it runs off whatever I throw at it.

Spectre32 what is a DPF system?
What exactly is it about the fuel delivery systems that you say "CR's are less tollerant of Biodiesel cause of the way there fuel delevery systems work."?
What does the engine do if u put a "bad batch" of fuel thru your 2005 CR
Thanks. P

I've run B100 for two years in my Jeep CRD, no issues that I've noticed.
