Hi folks,

looks like its an SVO discussion day for me...

I have been told several times that one can buy the same parts Greasel/others sell much cheaper at McMaster Carr, but I don't speak their language.

EX: the 6 port Pollak valve sold by greasel yeilds a dozen different parts. Yikes!!! Anyone know which is the correct peice?

What is the coolant coil inside the tank called?

Collection Pump: Greasel has a new $850 all-in-one collection pump. Anyone know how to make this for cheaper?

Any help would be great.

Hi Omar,

many thanks for the thorough response. I am currently working on a list of parts and places. I think the big order goes out tomorrow.

I'm going to go with a 1000FH filter unit. Heat exchangers are the big question--I'm running a bus (8-10 mpg, hence a high flow rate) in a future cold environment (not at the moment). Only so much time to 'make my own.' I'm getting a Vegtherm mega, and have been recdommended 2!!! 'Tube-in-Shell" heat exchangers, at $195 each. One before filter, one before valves. That's still subject to change. I'm going to build a HotRod and wrap coolant lines around the filter. instead of an electric pad heater. I had not looked into FPHE, but they appear to take a while to arrive--I need them by Friday/Monday at latest.

Thoughts are welcomed from all.

use a sight glass that has meatal hose fittings... do not us the plastic screw in type they will crack (I ran one for about 5k before the plastic ends cracked in half)
http://store.summitracing.com/default.asp?Ntt=fuel+filt...target=egnsearch.asp
You can buy the sight glass here or Autozone has them for about $10.
do not over tighten the glass itself it can crack .. (I have done that too) however make sure it is not leaking air some times they vibrate loose just enought for a small leak so check for drips ... good luck Omar

If you are running on (or thinking of running on) SVO/WVO with your diesel vehicle, then you need this product. Up for auction you will find one Fuel Temperature Gauge and necessary fittings, wires, and instructions to attach the gauge to your fuel line where the fuel enters the engine, with a back-lit, easy to read face.

hay....if you do not want to make your own take a look
