The article says they are planing on an open architecture using their proprietary process or another of your choice to convert the grass with diesel one of the possible products.

Sounds a little too good to be true. 4000 gallons of gasoline has 456,000,000 BTU. Based on published crop yields of miscanthus and BTU/lb for the dried grass, an acre of Miscanthus has 240,000,000 BTU's and that is all of it.
This technology sounds a lot like pyrolysis or gasification. Its a pretty simple process, but the liquid product is pretty nasty.
If it seems too good to be true, then it probably is.
