Tryed a kia power steering pump, nice pump but with psi on the return the shaft binds "made for gravity feed". I did find some good info on orc feed pumps, heres some links.

I found that running my ORC system at about 80 degrees C would cause a 20 Degrees C temperature drop across the expander. At 60 degrees C there is enough energy to expand the refrigerant a second time which also means you lose less energy in the condenser. The best system would be one that expands the refrigerant to a temperature and pressure just above it's condensing temperature/pressure, this last bit of cooling is then done by the condenser.
I'm going to try 2 x sanden TRSA12 expanders, the second directly coupled to the gear pump and use a higher flow temperature around 120 degrees C. The second expander only needs to generate 100 watts shaft power to equal the electric pump i have been using but it will be far more efficient.
By getting the second expander to power the pump the overall efficiency will be far higher. It may also be worth trying the first expander as driver for pump and second expander as take off power.
Anyone make any progress, my project is on hold till I can convence the wife to let me buy more parts lol
