The video says the car doesnt need any imput apart from water. Well thats tripe. The narrator also says that its 'electrons' from the water which power the car - more tripe. What change takes place to the water it uses - does it come out as something else?

You cant burn whats already been burnt. Water has no chemical potential to power a car. Only by splitting it into its elements, hydrogen and oxygen could that happen, to burn them back into - yeah water. It takes more energy to obtain the hydrogen and oxygen from the water than whats produced to power the car by burning it again.

We hear about 'water powered' cars from time to time. Eddison was the first to expose such scams.

Cute Car... Where can I buy one?

I think one should approach this with a healthy sense of skepticism. Of course, I'd also be a bit skeptical if you told me the most powerful bomb in the world was powered by a special type of "heavy water".

Rather than having a video of the inventor driving around town for 30 seconds...

I'd like to see someone get one and take off across a couple of countries... I.E. If they could start in China, and drive until they arrive in Portugal, just adding a few liters of water... then it would be worth paying attention to.

I'm not sure about the "Water" in the video... It looked pretty nasty.

And, why is water being consumed? Where is it going? So, water ==> Hydrogen + Oxygen ==> Water???? Why does it consume water?

Here is their website, looks like the typical HHO BS.
http://www.genepax.com/

And, here is the video explaining the new "fuel cell".

Hmmm... I always prefer trying to follow equations.
So,

Water is dissociated to neutral Hydrogen Gas + Oxygen Gas dimers (pretty simple electrolysis).
Then the Neutral H2 gas molecules are dissociated into 2 positive ions???
This, just magically releases 2 electrons which are then captured as energy, as the hydrogen ions pass through a membrane.
Then a new reaction with 2 hydrogen ions, 2 electrons, and a dissociated oxygen dimer... to all recombine to create water (which mysteriously disappears, requiring one to continually add more water.

I looked at their description of the engine... which is all in Japanese.

The "Little One" shows volts, but no amps... well, it may show volts, the volt meter isn't shown without anything plugged in. And, apparently it doesn't generate enough power to run it's own pump.

The "Big One" is quite impressive operating a computer monitor and DVD Player. I can't imagine why they would have allowed a couple of power cords to descend off the edge of the table.

All sounds pretty solid to me... Does this company have any stock to buy? Let me run and get my checkbook!!!!!!!

According to the 'Genepax' diagram we have a 'perpetual motion'type mechanism where the water continuously dissociates and reforms to produce an endless supply of energy Eek

Yea right Roll Eyes

exactly the point Cool, the current claim isn't a "water powered" car either

Err... isnt this thread about a video called... JAPANESE WATER POWERED CAR!?

And as if you didnt know... "This Japanese water powered vehicle has been operating for more than 100 years."? (QUOTE john galt 16 June 2009 09:12 PM)

And so, after giving an example of a 'water powered vehicle' you go on to say that the 'point' is that its not water powered!! Smile
