Johnf..., Good to hear from you. My wife is a decendent from the Fredettes of Plantagenet. Would love to have a look at that generator set up. I have an isuzu 2 litre engine that I recovered from an old chevette that I founed in Alfred. It is in my yard under cover looking for a generator to hook up to.

VWPickup... Good to hear from you. Could you be living near the town of Pawason (SP?) Had friends living there years ago.

Steve. I do live close to Powassan, in fact, i've got friends living there I went to school with.
it takes about 45 minutes to drive from powassan to where I live. (45 minutes out of your way) but I'd be more than happy to show anyone my setup here.
You said you're still planning the trip, but if it's going to be any time after the end of april or so, I'm more than likely going to be making biodiesel.

Keep us posted on your plans,
it would be nice to hear from you.

feel free to email me at

vwpickup.... Thanks for a correction on the spelling. The trip should be starting in Arnprior some time in may. Have got some possible sponsers in the wings. I would like to get involved in eco-fairs and meetings on the way. Anything happening in your area in this timeframe? Friends last name was Veitch.

Should be in the prairie provences in june... I was born in Gretina Man. would like to stop there and check out the old homestead. Anybody out that way doing homebrew?
NAMASTE Steve

Hey steve. I'm not sure what kind of events, meetings or fairs might be going on in the area when you pass through, but I'll keep my eyes open, and let you know if anything comes up.

I'm afraid I don't know many people in the powassan area, so I don't likely know who your friends are.
Anyways, hope you get a chance to stop into my neck of the woods.

Thanks,

Hi Steve,
I'm a freelance writer living in Arnprior. I've been doing some research for an article on Biodiesel and I believe there was an article done about your work in that regard - a few months ago in the Arnprior Chronicle? Perhaps you could respond to this if you are the same Steve?
Thanks,
Lorie S.

You're definantly the most local person I've met on this forum. I have family that lives in Gravenhurts.

Being that you're as close as you are, and interested in making biodiesel, You and I should get together sometime, and I'll help you get something setup if you'd like.

You may have seen me in the Muskoka Magazine a while back (Oct./Nov, 2004 issue).

Maybe i'll see you soon.
