I am brand new to all of this, so please forgive any "faux paus" here....
I live in Abbotsford, BC and I am looking to make biodiesel. I became very disheartened when I was unable to find access to methenol and my project has sat, stalled, for months now.
Anyone have some advice or want to go in on a bulk amount?
BTW - I just found out that I'm "expecting"...so I am unable to handle or lift large amounts but I am willing to drive most anywhere and may be able to convince a spare set of hands to come along and help me with the dirty work!

Try Petro Canada bulk station. They have a supplier of methanol in Vancouver.

I am also from Abby. I bought it in Vancouver.
Have you heard of a company call Univar? They sell it in 5gall buckets to 50gall drums. They also sell knoh and koh. Let me know if you need any more info.

Hello Jacobson. As far as I know there's Univar in Richmond and Advance Chemicals in Port Coquitlam. I get the drum size and don't have to worry about it for months.

last I heard (couple months ago) $270 at Advance (not including barrel deposit) for a 200L barrel. Univar will match or beat this if you mention this price.

Normally yes, a business license is required. I didn't have one so they simply conducted a background check, plus references.
