Hi folks, New to this forum....been researching biodiesel now for some time, beginning to assemble apparatus for first brewing. I am in Fredericton NB. I noted some discussion about methanol purchases in this area...did that go ahead OK? Buying bulk and splitting costs sounds like a good idea to me. Also any tips about best sources of WVO in this province? There are many potentials, but I have not knocked on any back doors yet.
Q: has anyone in eastern Canada successfully operated a vehicle through an entire winter season on home-brewed biodiesel? So far this does not appear to be possible without a lot of messing around with questionable additives, but I stand to be corrected. So, best to all, and I look forward to learning and contributing here.... Rob aka rustics
I am from Cape Breton, NS and I am researching biodiesel. I cannot see us running anymore than b20 in the winter and that might be risky in January and February. Girl Mark (Mario Alovert has created a Biodiesel home brewing guide that will answer all your questions.
As far as where is the best place to get your wwo, it depends but chinese restaurants are usually good. If you get your processor built let me know?

Hello everyone. I live in Truro Nova Scotia and have also been researching biodiesel production for a couple of years. We have a pilot plant capable of producing several metric tonnes of biodiesel per month. Question is how do we market this stuff? Any help would be appreciated.
Hi Rustics, I'm in the process of getting set up in Fredericton and so far I've not found a methanol or KOH supplier just yet. I'm interested in group buying if there are others. ADJ
