If it were me I would have no qualms about running B100, but I would not in any way shape or form run svo or a blend in a new cummins, you would be asking for trouble, but that's just me.

We've done one 2005 in my shop, and my former installer Shane Ballensky at http://www.roverhybrids.com has done 2-3, including his own 2004 truck, and he's probably got about 30K miles on WVO. They're fine with a proper conversion. Email me off-Forum and I'll 'splain it to you. It's craigreece@plantdrive.com
As far as warranty issues: everything we'd use, with the exception of a Vegtherm and a flat-plate heat exchanger is ISO 9000 certified for use on diesel trucks - for de-gelling diesel in cold weather. Adding a tank is commonly done by people with diesel trucks hauling 5th wheel trailers - so the addition of such items can't be legally used to not honor a warranty. That sound like the way to good I should sell my 95 and buy a new one. Then again that is a lot of money.
If I had the truck I would do it in a heartbeat. Robert In Fort Lauderdale running a 1985 Gold Mercedes 300d custom aluminum tank (18) gallons looped return with return to diesel tank. HOH wraped filter FPHE. Greasecar valves. |
