I have a 2001 VW with a TDI engine. I have been thinking of running a bit of SVO along with the diesel. My thoughts were somewhere up to 20% SVO with the hopes that I would get some of the advantages of running B20. Can anyone tell me what the effects of a 20% mix of SVO would be?

it will give slightly better milage
it will pull better in higher gears
it will smell, unless you have a cat
it will save money
it will help the environment
don't use waste oil unless it's been well cleaned and you know it wont gel
try mixing a test batch or 2 and putting them in the fridge or freezer
