While I believe that applying a vacuum to the coolant heated dewatering tank would remove water from the oil, any water soluble contaminants (salt etc) would remain in the oil.

Whether this is a problem and whether this would cause IP damage or not, I do not know.

I have a water heater I 3/4 fill w/ oil and heat to 150F. Vac or no vac the oil passes the fryer/sizzle test.
Move water heater to car, apply coolant heat instead of ac heat.
Is there a pump that could be used to suck oil and to for vac in a tank?
How about a power inverter for short term pump running?
