They are both multi-pass, even for lube oil. The Dieselcraft is fast enough for engine consumption even on my big truck, but that makes little difference since you do it in a batch. I can process 50 gallons in 4 hours, doing 5 passes. My truck consumes 15 gallons in the same 4 hours, even at 75mph loaded (20mpg average.) So its roughly 3x as fast as engine consumption. If your bus gets 7mpg, then you can about keep even with it.

You can't put it inline to the engine since it needs 4-6 passes.

That's good news it could keep up.... assuming of course could afford to buy 6 D.Crafts LOL. Guess you would need 6 pumps too.

Course.. hmmmmmm..... I do have 4 BIG RCI filters already.... hmmmm....

No you don't need 6, those figures are for 1 Dieselcraft.

maybe i'm not understanding correctly... i've read through all of the CF threads in preperation for purchasing either a dieselcraft or a SF but i'm not sure how people are doing multiple passes. Are they using one 55 gal. barrel and just running the CF continuously for a few hours and assuming that all of the oil is getting sucked in through the bottom and deposited filtered back at the top of the barrel multiple times, or are they filtering from one barrel through the CF to another barrel and then filtering back so they can make sure that all of the oil is being filtered each time?

I and most people are doing it in 1 barrel since then you don't have to spend lots of time watching it so the pump doesn't get damaged each time it runs out. Some are doing it with 2.

We are not assuming it all gets through, there have been tests run by CAT and others showing that it all gets through. And I have done my own tests, after I am done, I can take any portion of a barrel, run it through again and no more goo comes out.

Sun do you make BioD? Do you know of any tests done with titration before and after a trip or two through a centrifuge?

No I don't make B100, and haven't seen any tests. It would help the titration if it removed any acidic water. It is good at dewatering and it would be useful for that before making B100. It also would be useful for dewatering after processing, since many do a mistwash.

LOL, Dumby was being nut. I think he was half ass joking saying if you had 6 CF then you could pump straight from the dirty tank right to the engine. 6 CF's would give it 6 passes from tank to engine.

badgator, do you have any way to compare your Spin Clean with a Dieselcraft, in terms of functionality/ease of use, construction?
I want to purchase one or the other, am awaiting word from someone who has seen both, as to whether saving $ on the Spin CLean will be worthwhile....

From my understanding, when they don't reply its working. They only use the forum when they need help. Hope you give some feedback soon.
