What is the ff25 rated for? I dont see that one on the website, the only thing I have to wonder about is what the cleanout interval may be.

The spinclean can run at a maximum of 100 psi, at this rate it should flow 75gal per minute. Call David @ 800 668 4835 he'll give you the lowdown.

special I just bought a FF25 from David at 800-668-4835 for $159 USD + $10 to Florida they lower the price as it doesn't have the low pressure cutoff as it's not needed for WVO apps. Dieselcrafts "special" forum member price is the same as buy-it-now on Ebay for everyone. Razz

That sounds like a good deal, let us know how it works for you. The Dieselcraft forum member price is $219 shipped on this page. On ebay their buy-it-now is $249 shipped. Its good to have competition, maybe Dieselcraft will lower prices because of it.

Rec'd my FF25 Spin Clean yesterday, looks like quality construction. Uses 1/4 british pipe thread , but comes with a adapter for flare fitting, I ordered a 1/4 bsp to 1/4 npt from Mcmaster along with 12v 2"x6" silicone pad heater for fuel filter and adjustable pressure regulater, only need a few more parts now. Sorry can't download pics as ^&%7(&*^*& computer crashes with camera now. Forum won't allow me to post a pdf file of brochure - email Industial Products for one.

I now have 99% of the parts temporarily assembled, but have to return the reconditioned 55 gal drum I bought -$20 for one that is unlined, they use a food grade paint/coating? inside and didn't want it peeling off and clogging the strainer. I was going to use a large 3 way ball valve for dumping uncleaned WVO into a bucket when shutting down and starting up the CF but figured out pivoting a 5 micron filter bag under outlet would be easier and cheaper. I having more of a problem finding a cheap 300 turbo, I find them but I guess i'm picky.

A pivoting bag under the outlet won't catch any water that is draining from the rotor at shutdown.

I would use the air pressure to send you clean oil to a different drum then you wouldn't have to worry on shutdown about catching the dirty water filled oil.

Unless I am understanding the air connection wrong.

Don't think that will work. No matter if you have air pressure or not everything exits the CF thru the same port. If you turn a valve to divert everything durring spin down into a different container having Air pressure would "assist"; assiting is its intended purpose, the stuff thru the tubing to the container especially if there is an uphill climb in the tubing. If its a down hill then air would not be needed.

I'm not worried about water during shutdown or startup (minimal). I have a industrial sized diesel filter/water separator I will use when pumping into the car (12" tall!)plus a hd diesel filter/sep for the car. Exchanged drums today, the guy that paints them is convinced the coating would be OK, but I kept unlined one anyhow.

Diesel water seperators and water block filters have been shown in many cases to not remove suspended water from VO. You should do lots of pan tests if thats what you are relying on for dewatering. If you are running a CF anyway, catching the output is a much easier and more reliable way to dewater.

So actually I have put my order on hold. I talked to a guy named Paul a Spin Clean tech. He informed me that e reccomends that one filters and dewaters the VO before running it through the CF. I feel that this somewhat defeats the pourpose of a CF.

Unless I'm mistaken I thought that everyone was running their VO almost raw throught a dieselcraft. Am I wrong? I would certainly run it trough a cuction screem 100-200 micron, is this sufficiant? How different is the Spin Clean from the dieselcraft? Anyone know, there's a $100 difference between the two, I wonder why? Spin Clean does not offer a mounting plate either I wonder if there's thread already on the CF itself?

Is anyone running a CF experiencing any problems with purity after filtration? I am on the go and am setting up a filtration/dewatering/ storage rig for my 32ft school bus. Any advice or opinions/ warnings would be greatly appreciated. The idea is to have the whole system underneath the bus.

ok, this looks like a one pass centrifuge, unlike the Dieselcraft, am I correct?
It says the oil enters, gets cleaned, then goes to the engine, nothing about it passing through multiple times? If so, it works like Buuuud's centrifuge! One pass and you're done.

Both I believe are one pass LUBE OIL filters. Niether one are made for veg oil cleaning so neither one it seems will
dewater/clean veg oil in one pass.

Also, if I'm not mistaken neither one is fast enough to clean oil at a rate to keep up w/engine consumption at highway speeds except maybe a diesel SmartCar Big Grin
