WEBB 525

COOLANT HEATED FUEL STRAINER

DIESEL, BIO-D, WVO

Lightly used (pre-tested) in a WVO system (shown still mounted).

Includes hose barb fittings and custom mounting plate with clamps.

Plate mounts to a flat vertical surface with four 1/4" bolts or studs.

Top is easily removed (v-band clamp with thumb knob) to lift out conical nylon mesh strainer screen (approximately 30 micron) for cleaning. Bottom ball valve drain.

Perfect for pre-filtering and heating your fuel of choice. Adds quite a bit of heat to the fuel. I had planned a multi-stage on-the-fly WVO setup but dicovered two tanks are really needed for that. Unit will be flushed out and well packed. Feel free to ask questions. Check my other auctions for related item(s). Thanks and best regards.

anyone used this one???

Omar, I use a fuel filter/heater setup like that one except mine isn't electrically heated. He did not offer that feature when I ordered mine off Ebay. Mine works great but I would be interested in a performance report on the model that you posted.

Side note: I did have a hard time finding those BF797 filters or replacements. My Napa store did a thread and seal comparison and found me a 10 micron Napa replacement.

It is Napa 3281. The physical size is much larger but the thread size and gasket location/size is the same as the BF797. I use this on the frame near the front tank and the fuel transfer valve on my 96 F250. I have a flat plate heat exchanger under the hood.

Makes the Vormax - 11-1/2" tall - look petite. Those are some big honkin' filters.

Wow it looks impressive, how is your customer service? Returning phone calls, fixing a serious defect and getting the already paid for product back to the customer in a timely fashion so he can actually start using it?

Filters seem to be an never ending story...
I got a Peugeot 405 diselfilter as seen on the first pics in this thread.
But as this filter, also mine is missing the water warning sensor and the outlet for the water.

Any idea where to find one?

cast iron filter head

I found somehting that you all may want to look at. I found 3 filter adapters from Summit that are under $35. I also found 2 Fuel filters that fit them. These are not oil filter, but real 10 micron diesel fuel filters.
The mounts are as follows:
TRD-1030 Dual mount(need 2 filters)$26.95
TRD-1028 Single $12.75
TRD-1045 Single (different outlets)$31.75

Filters:
Baldwin BF7559--WIX 33382--NAPA 3382
This filter is 3.81 in tall. Baldwin is $10.11
Baldwin BF783--WIX 33281--NAPA 3281
This filter is 6.605 in tall. Baldwin is $10.79

So, you could order the TRD-1028 and either filter depending on the room you have and be under $25 total. Or install 2 filters with the TRD-1030 and it will be less than $50 total.
These filter adapters were the first ones I found on Summit and the Filters I found locally.
Oh, and this is a mount that uses a Ford 3/4in 16 threads per inch, these filters will not work on the Chevy 13/16-16.

Just to add to Omar's post above - sources for Cim-tek filters and adapters - many local wholesale petroleum distributors and online at www.jmesales.com , www.strickequipment.com and www.petropartsdirect.com , www.filter1.com for wix equivalents ( http://www.wixfilters.com/filterlookup/fueldispensing.asp )

I seem to be only seeing about 1/3 of Omars July13 2:46 post. Only the left side of the pics are being displayed. The rest of his post is blank.

Am I the only person that's having this problem?

I'd like to see what he posted.
